The opportunities for learning, discovery, and growth that an education at Qatar Foundation (QF) offers will be opened up to Qatar students and its wider community this month through the latest edition of ‘Discover Education City’.

The annual education fair – which will take place at the Education City Student Centre on 16-17 October allows students from Qatar’s independent and private schools, as well as recent graduates and professionals looking to expand their skills and knowledge, to explore the world-class higher education options available across Education City.

Organised by QF Community Development, Discover Education City will familiarise those looking to determine the next step on their academic journey with programmes and majors offered by QF universities, across a diverse range of disciplines. It will also give prospective students and their families with an insight into the facilities, environment, and ethos, while showcasing the community, and innovation-focused initiatives.

The two-day fair will provide information and guidance on undergraduate and graduate education programmes at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and the international universities at Education City, including admission processes, financial aid, and housing requirements. The Academic Bridge Program (ABP) and Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC) will also have booths in place to support and advise high school students as they seek to make the transition to university and explore potential future career paths.

Machaille Al Naimi, President of Community Development at QF, said that in both the academic and community sense, Education City is a vibrant and diverse environment that offers myriad opportunities to develop, innovate, and broaden understanding within and beyond the classroom.

This event provides invaluable guidance and insight to young people at a time when they are making some of the most important decisions of their lives. It not only showcases the unique, multi-disciplinary educational ecosystem that QF has built, but also how being a QF student means being part of something very special.

We look forward to welcoming prospective students, their families, and the Qatar community as a whole to Discover Education City – we hope we’ll inform and inspire them.’

Sessions at Discover Education City will run from 9 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to – 8 pm on 16 October, and from 9 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm on 17 October. No pre-registration is required. For more information, send an email to [email protected].
