Anima Gallery has launched a new initiative calling on all artists from the MENA region to send their portfolios to participate in an annual group exhibition at Anima Gallery for one month.

The committee members are Qatari artists Yousef Ahmad, Ali Hassan and Amal Al Aathem, Rima Nasser/Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Selections Magazine, Magda Baltoyanni-Kallitsantsis/Collector and Curator from Greece, Ghada Sholy, Mohamad Mckouk and Iliana Kodzhamanova from Anima.

The selected artists will participate in the A2 Group Exhibition and their artworks will have the chance to be included in Anima’s art projects. The participating artists will be:

Abed Al Kaderi
Moawya Al Khadra
Noor Al Thani
Ahmed Anan
Dörte Meichsner
Oubadah Nouktah

In an attempt to promote young junior artists and to encourage them to take their talents seriously and choose art as a career and focus of university study, Anima Gallery will have as part of its A2 exhibition a special feature on a selected junior artist between the ages of 16 to 18 to participate in the group exhibition. This year’s featured junior artist will be Zuhoor Al Fardan, a talented young artist with great passion for different mediums of art.

The preview reception will be held on 13 May 2015 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Anima Gallery (30 La Croisette, Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar).
