Emerging Doha artist Othman Al Khunji showcases his art through the exhibition, Deconstructing the Sacred, an open invitation to people from different cultural backgrounds and religious faiths to embrace each other’s similarities and differences. Al Khunji, graduated with an MFA in Design from Virginia Commonwealth School of the Arts in Qatar, a partner university of Qatar Foundation.
‘Deconstructing the Sacred’ is Al Khunji’s first solo exhibition in Qatar, and features interactive installations created through the use and application of innovative technology, including 3D printing, Arduino technology, laser cutting, neon glass heat bending, and water jet engraving.
Al Khunji is well-renowned in the local art and design community for his subtle yet thought-provoking work that explores themes of religion, culture, and social justice. He has previously exhibited at different art venues in Doha and in Berlin and London.
