The Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, inaugurated the new Al Khor Service Centre recently. The opening programme was attended by the Director of the Consular Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al Subaei, Brigadier Muhammad Ahmad Al Ateeq, Director General of Nationality, Borders and Expatriates Affairs and Muhammad Muslim Al Rashdi, Director of Government Services Complex Department. The new complex includes service centre of the Ministry of Interior and other governmental services complex as well.
In his opening remarks, Director General of Public Security stated that the strategy of the Interior Ministry to facilitate service centres across the country is now nearing completion, as it so far opened 19 service centres and four more new centres are to be opened in the nearest future. Hukoomi services will also be available soon in Ras Lafan, Pearl Qatar and Ruwais, covering almost 80% of the geographical areas.
The new service centre is equipped with the latest devices for passport services, fingerprinting, and criminal information and evidences that would help to complete the procedures within a shorter period of time. These devices will also be installed in other service centres.’
Brigadier Muhammad Ahmad Al Atieq, Director General of GDNBEA, said:
The new centre is all set to provide all services available in the headquarters of GDNBEA along with other governmental services. The residents of Al Khor can get services of different ministries under in one roof.’
The new centre are capable to provide any services required by the customers without moving to other counters. These include services related to visa, residence, exit permit, company registration renewal and service of the recruitment committee that facilitates remote interviewing of the applicants.
The Director of Government Service Complex Department Muhammad Muslim Al Rashidi, said:
The new centre, ninth of its kind, offers services of seven ministries including Foreign Ministry, Justice, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Administrative Development and Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Kahrama.’
Real Estate Registration, Commercial Licenses, work contracts, bill payments and all other services are available in Al Khor Service Centre.
The Director of the Consular Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al Subaei said that the department is very keen to complete the documents attestation and authorisation services to the citizens and residents within three minutes. All staff in the service centres are eligible to provide all services that the customers require.
He added that the clients can approach the department in the case of facing any problems in completion of their required services easily.
Brigadier Engineer Muhammad Thani Al Mudahaka, Director of Building Affairs Department said that the new Al Khor Service Centre includes 13 counters for other government services and 16 counters for MOI services. The centre also includes a separate building for Nationality and Travel Documents Department facilitated for the services of the citizens with special areas for men and women. All buildings are equipped with latest safety tools and have spacious car parking space and waiting halls.
Lt Colonel Nasser Abdul Karim Al Humaidi, Director of Al Khor Service Centre said that the service centre will work in two shifts now from 6 am – 1 pm and 3 pm – 6 pm in the evening time.
