Onaiza Service Complex Opens

The new government services complex and police station were inaugurated by the Minister for Administrative Development and Labour and Social Affairs H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Naimi Juffali and Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi and was attended by Brigadier Nasser Jabr Al Atiyyah, Assistant Director of the General Directorate of Passports, Brigadier Muhammad Saif Al Noaimi, Director of Capital Security Department and a number of other department directors at the Ministry of Interior.

HE Dr Issa bin Saad Al Naimi Juffali said that the opening of the service centre, the tenth of its kind in the country, came in line with the directives of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to make governmental services easily accessible to the residents of Qatar.

The Onaiza Service Complex includes seven government authorities: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Commerce, Administrative Development and Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, Education and Higher Education, Municipality and Environment and Kahrama.

The policy of providing different governmental services under one roof started in 2013 with the opening of Messaimer Service Centre. Adding to this are in Umm Salal, Wakrah, Hilal, Dha-ain, Al Khor, Shamal and Shehaniya. The new centre at The Pearl – Qatar will be opened soon.

Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi said that the Onaiza Police station was the fifth section under the Capital Police Department adding to Capital Police Station, Madina Khalifa, Messaimer and Al Sadd Police station.

Brigadier Nasser Jabr Al Atiyyah said that all Traffic Directorate and Passports Directorate services will be available at the Onaiza centre along with the services of other ministries.

The center will be open from 6 am – 6 pm.
