We are really excited to go through the thousands of applications and get to know the young ladies and gents who will help us orchestrate a successful event that is poised to bring progress to the country and its human capital.’

ROTA EMPOWER 2017Youth-led

Since 2009, EMPOWER has a reputation for being the first youth led conference to focus on equipping young people in Qatar to take active roles in building communities and having a voice on global issues. Every year the conference intends to create a platform for a larger number of students to learn and engage in ROTA’s youth development programme in Qatar.

This year, the three-day event includes a combination of panel discussion, keynote speeches, small group workshops, seminars, off-site activities, exhibition, social programme and artistic expression, designed to collectively build the capacities required to enable young people to take leadership roles in addressing local and international developmental issues of concern, especially in the realm of sustainable development and the younger generation’s effective citizenship.

The conference will empower up to 450 young people between the ages of 16 to 32 years old – including international participants – to discover their voice and build their knowledge, skills, and experiences, towards creating positive change for themselves and their communities.
