The Royal Grammar School, Guildford in Qatar was delighted to be invited to represent the United Kingdom as part of the Emir Cup Finals held recently at the newly refurbished Khalifa Stadium, the first of the football stadiums to be completed ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Along with representatives from community groups and countries from around the globe, RGS promoted Education in Great Britain and celebrated ‘Great British Authors’. Children were provided with an opportunity to enjoy well known stories by British authors including Roald Dhal, Jacqueline Wilson, Julia Donaldson and JK Rowling, and completed activities linked to some of their favourite books and book characters.
