As part of Shop Qatar 2018 and its vibrant calendar, Grammy-winning EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers is performing in Qatar on 25 January at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

CTC Festival

The first edition of Qatar’s Chocolate, Coffee and Tea Festival (CTCF) will be held from 25 January–3 February 2018 at the Hotel Park – Sheraton in Doha.

Organised by Four and One, the 10-day world-class festival will bring together more than 40 exhibitors, ready to display and pour their finest chocolate, tea and coffee while introducing the latest award-winning technological products.

Souq Waqif Shopping Tour by Embrace Doha

Embrace Doha Shop Qatar Tour

An expert-led group walk through Souq Waqif discussing and discovering local products available at the Souq. Separate tours available for men, women and families. Limited spaces available, registration is required.

Souq Waqif Spring Festival

Offering over 40 activities from amusement rides to skills games, 20+ food options and some of the amazing live performances. It also houses Qatar’s Largest Trampoline Park and the largest of its kind Ocean Ball Pool!

Flower Festival 2018

Flower Festival Katara Doha Qatar

To promote locally produced flowers, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has announced to organise Flower Festival 2018 at three winter vegetable markets (farmer's market) starting from Thursday.

The annual winter markets are located at Al Mazrouah (near Umm Salal), Al Khor and Al Dhakhira and Al Wakrah. The first flower festival will be held from 11-13 January at winter market of Al Mazrouah. The winter market of Al Khor-Al Dhakhira will have the festival from 18-20 January while the visitors can benefit from flower festival at Al Wakrah winter market from 25-27 January.

Flat Racing at Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club

QREC Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club

The races, which will take place every Wednesday and Thursday, 4:30 pm at Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, is open to the public. Fun rides and other activities are organised for families and racing fans.

An exhibition and panel discussion at VCUarts Qatar will showcase how faculty, students and alumni from the university’s interior design programme are using affordable technology and brilliant design ideas to improve the lives of refugees.

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts in Qatar will display works of artists in residence Leekyung Kang and Austin Aviles at HBKU Student Center Art Gallery. “Projected Reality; In-Transition” will run until 27 January from 8 am–5 pm.

Flip a Coin by Ahmed AlbahraniFlip a Coin Ahmed Albahrani Anima Gallery

Iraqi artist Ahmed Albahrani's works are on display now until 31 March at Anima Gallery. The exhibition, playfully titled Flip a Coin, showcases bronze coins depicting political unrest and war in the Middle East.

Imperial Threads: Motifs and Artisans from Turkey, Iran and India brings a new perspective to the Museum of Islamic Art’s collection by showing the connection between three major dynasties who mark the start of the early modern period in Islamic art.

Islamic arms and armour from the private collection of Fadel Al Mansoori. Including edged weapons and firearms from the 17th to the 19th century, produced primarily in Turkey, Iran and India. Powder and Damask explore the art of craftsmanship, which reached unprecedented levels in these regions under the Ottoman, Safavid and Mughal empires, where these objects were considered not only as weapons but also as works of art.

With a vibrant mix of around 150 stalls, MIA Park Bazaar is a modern version of the old souq tradition. You can browse and buy food, homemade and handmade products - jewellery, arts, crafts and clothes as well as books and souvenirs.

Open on Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm and Saturday, noon until 8 pm
