1,900 Bahraini Fans Fly to Qatar to Watch the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup Finals
Gulf Air – the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain – in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and with support from a number of private companies and institutions, will facilitate travel for almost 1,900 Bahraini fans today to attend and support their national team in the final match of the Arabian Gulf Cup against the national team of Saudi Arabia.
All Set for the Finals
Major General Khalifa Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Head of the 24th Gulf Championship Command Center Unit at the Security Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, praised the high level performance shown by the various units operating within the committee. The command centre implements the tasks and duties necessary to secure the championship and even until the tournaments of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The operations rooms for all stadiums are equipped with the latest technologies and managed by highly qualified cadres. To further ensure the flow of information and avoid any deficiencies or interruptions in the communication process, even cars were equipped with systems capable of functioning as mobile security operation rooms to intervene in the event of any malfunctions inside the stadiums.
General Al Nuaimi also hailed everyone working within the security committee units for their efficiency in managing the event and performing their tasks. He said that this is a clear indication of the security committee’s readiness for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Championship.
Fans who watched the games expressed their complete satisfaction with the facilities. They also praised the organisation of the event, in terms of allocated parking areas for different groups, and the assistance provided by police officers and volunteers from various sides of the stadiums.
