The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports updates the calendar for the 2021 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship as the beginning of another exciting season of racing appears on the horizon, with testing action set to get underway in just over a month.

The season-opening Grand Prix in Qatar remains confirmed on 26 to 28 March. It will be followed by a second event on 2 to 4 April at Losail International Circuit.

The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal will then host the third round of the Championship from 16 to 18 April, before the paddock heads to the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto as previously planned.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns and complications sadly oblige the postponement of both the Argentina GP and the Americas GP until the last quarter of 2021. Any further updates or changes will be provided as soon as available.

MotoGP™ partners with Moto Trainer

Dorna Sports is delighted to announce their partnership with Moto Trainer to launch a training revolution for riders across the globe. Moto Trainer is a motorbike simulator that allows riders to train on their own bikes, bringing the thrill of Grand Prix racing to fans anywhere in the world.

Moto Trainer’s software can virtually transport riders to the world’s greatest tracks, allowing riders to train on each and every MotoGP™ circuit across the globe. Suitable for sports bikes of all shapes and sizes, Moto Trainer can either be linked to the official MotoGP™ videogame, produced by long-standing MotoGP™ partner and videogame developer Milestone. Riders can also follow an OnBoard lap of the track on which they wish to train.

Linking the simulator to MotoGP™ videogame allows riders to become part of the action, with real-world movement synchronised to the digital rendering of their riding on-screen. On-board laps, meanwhile, provide the perfect blueprint for riders to follow – allowing even the most veteran riders to train in seamless synchronicity with their on-screen counterpart.
