The final day of Build Your House Exhibition 2022, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, closed with resounding success.

This highly engaging event saw a footfall of 10,300 visitors over the course of three days, while it’s Knowledge Sharing Conference and Smart and Future Living Conference, brought over 30 presentations from guest speakers representing academic institutions, government entities, architectural associations, and leading industry businesses.

The pioneering three-day exhibition quickly established a reputation as the key event for consultants, contractors and suppliers in the design and contracting industry to present their latest products and services to Qatari nationals who seek to build and renovate houses that are  fit for the future, while offering a platform that accelerates Qatar’s government work to support its citizens with the development of areas and lands.

Speaking about the vital participation of Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Acting CEO Abdulrahman Hesham Al Sowaidi said they are pleased to witness the positive feedback the third edition of the exhibition presented in the urban design and construction sector, especially as QDB plays a pivotal role in this domain.

Commercial Bank also participated in the exhibition, and its Head of Retail Banking, Amit Sah EGM said they are proud of their participation as their focus is always on customers, always using creative and innovative services to deliver best banking solutions for them.

NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences Co-Founder and General Manager Rawad Sleem expressed his thanks and gratitude to all the exhibition sponsors and supporters, for the unwavering commitment and effort to make the Build Your House exhibition a crucial platform for networking, inspiration and knowledge sharing.

This year’s exhibition saw an estimated QAR453 million worth of deals made, which demonstrates that together we can create opportunities that stimulate the real estate and construction sector and become a catalyst for progress and development — while enhancing the quality of housing and living conditions for our society in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Contributing to this year’s BYH Exhibition, two international pavilions showcased a wide range of construction and design exhibitors from Türkiye and Portugal who brought a wealth of inspiration and insight.

Along with meeting suppliers, contractors and comparing materials, visitors who attended the exhibition also tapped into vital information shared at the Knowledge Sharing Conference and the Smart and Future Living Conference. Over the course of three days, attendees learned about the complete construction cycle — from understanding the technical requirements needed for Civil Defence approval to gaining insight on security technology and architectural trends.

A fourth edition has been booked for 2023, promising to offer more exhibitors, more international pavilions and a wider product range.

Sleem said they are thrilled with the achievements of the third edition and are already preparing for the launch of the fourth edition with expanded space to accommodate more exhibitors and more international pavilions.
