Tulum, a vibrant beach town on the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, is known for its stunning beaches and turquoise waters. Allow us to transport you, through a gastronomic voyage, to Tulum without ever leaving Doha.

As the weather begins to cool, Tulum Doha makes its perfectly timed debut. Perched on the seventh floor of Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, it exudes a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience tucked next to the pool area.

Our meal started with a generous serving of homemade guacamole and nachos. Afterwards, we ventured into tasting two distinct types of ceviche – the sea bream dressed in a corn sauce, and a tuna fillet beautified with a mango puree. Each dish offered a fresh and tangy profile, delicately contrasted with a hint of sweetness.

We followed this by sampling two fulfilling bowls: the Quinoa Salad, brimming with black-eyed peas, an array of seasonal vegetables, and cherry tomatoes, tied together with a zesty lime and ginger sauce, alongside a Cowboy Salad, lavished with flank steak, black beans, panela cheese, coconut oil, and crispy tortilla. Both salads delivered a hearty and enjoyable culinary experience.

Then came the hot and tempting treats, impressively served on two large platters. The first boasted a variety of delectable items such as pulled beef machaca tacos, shrimp tacos, angus brisket empanada, and chicken quesadilla. On the second platter, we found slow-cooked lamb barbacoa and chicken al pastor, accompanied by tortillas, and a whole roast lamb paired with refried beans laced with Manchego cheese. Our meal was beautifully complemented by a Caipirinha, an iconic Brazilian concoction.

The afternoon rounded off on a sweet note with classic treats: freshly toasted churros served with chocolate and caramel sauces, an ultra-creamy tres leches, and a bowl loaded with an assortment of tropical fruits.

The lively atmosphere was further elevated by the exceptional performances of both the DJ and the saxophonist.

The Friday Brunch runs from noon to 4 pm, priced at QAR195 per person, inclusive of soft beverages. For an upgraded experience, the price is QAR295.
