As part of their corporate social responsibility drive, Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) PQSC has once again extended its financial support to Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs, a local humanitarian organisation that supports people with disabilities.
The donation was handed over in the presence of Mohamad Alkuwari, Head of Reward and HR Services at al khaliji, and Taleb Abdullah Afifah, Board Member of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs.
Alkuwari said that al khaliji has been charting a very promising journey in Qatar and as an ode to this recognition, they take it as a responsibility to support the underprivileged in society.
Afifah, meanwhile, praised al khaliji and its sponsors for their keenness to cooperate with them and contribute to the care of children with disabilities. The donation will be used to purchase medical equipment.
Included in the medical and prosthetic devices which will be purchased from the donation are: electric wheelchairs, electric medical beds, wheelchairs with special specifications for severe motor disabilities, medical glasses, hearing aids for the hearing impaired, LAP TOP devices for people with visual and motor disabilities.
The donation is part of al khaliji’s continuing effort to support the community. The bank consistently demonstrates its promise to community development in Qatar, and will continue to support initiatives and programmes that raise public awareness on important social issues.
