Chili DogsGordon Ramsey’s famous restaurant in Qatar, OPAL by Gordon Ramsey at The St. Regis Doha Hotel, is now offering an all-you-can-eat Chili Dog night every Tuesday.

The Marhaba team were invited to the all-you-can-eat competition, with the added incentive of the ‘Chili dog champion’ being awarded the prize of a totally complimentary night’s accommodation at the exclusive St. Regis Hotel!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a valet service and warmly welcomed into the breathtaking marble halls of the spacious and ornate St. Regis Hotel. On entering the restaurant we were welcomed with a choice of cocktails, mocktails or champagne. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing, with an added sense of glamour and prestige.

The cosmopolitan crowd provided witty and interesting conversation, and soon the chef laid on our table a elegant plate of his unique Chili Dogs; the first thing that hit us was the euphoric smell of the chili instantaneously arousing our taste buds and our curiosity for flavour. On taking the first bite of the Chili Dog, absorbing the sheer flavor oozing from this gourmet chili dog, we realised this was the best Chili Dog we’d ever had the pleasure of eating.

The bun was warm, soft and some how mildly sweet; the next thing to be noticed was the chili mince with an invigorating combination of soft chopped onions, chili powder and a glorious mix of chili beans. The beef mince was browned to perfection. Then came the beef hot dog hidden under the slow cooked homemade chili and smothered with cheese and caramelised onions. The beef hot dog was moist, tender and packed with flavor. The fusion of all these flavors rolled into one Chili Dog can only be explained as an intense moment of cuisine enlightenment.

To complete this journey of flavours, we had a tasty choice a condiments and were also given a side dish of tender, slightly crispy, homemade, hand cut golden fries. One recommended beverage was a traditional British ale to wash down the mild twang of the chili dogs, and as a final treat we were each presented with a plate of tempting pistachio cake and soothing ice cream to bring the meal to a delightful end.

Our compliments go out to the gifted chefs who prepared this simple yet brilliant meal – the ultimate indulgence which we can recommend to everyone.

Enjoy never ending Chili Dogs and a side of fries for only QR100 per head every Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 11 pm – this also includes a selected beverage and ice cream to cool down afterwards.
