The 17th and 18th February will be an exciting weekend of racing at the Losail International Circuit. Not only is it the third round of Qatar National Road Racing Championship, but also the Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK will come to Qatar for the first time. This will be round 4 of the competition, following Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

At the time of writing, 13 Maserati cars will compete, with drivers from Lebanon, Kuwait, Venezuela, Austria, Italy and Saudi Arabia and of course, Qatar. The two Qatari drivers are Marwan Musabeh and Rashid Al Sulaiti.

Practice for the Maserati Trofeo will be held on Friday, with 2 races on Saturday at 13:15 and 16:15.

In the third round of Qatar National Road Racing, the leader of the championship in the Open Class, Rob Frijns with his yellow Porsche 911 will defend his first place in the standings. Qatari driver Jassim Al Maadeed is leading the Production Class with 20 points. The race will be held on Saturday at 14:50.

This weekend will also see another big first in Qatar: an F1 three-seater car. The car will be driven by a professional racing driver, and in the other two seats, two co-drivers can experience the thrilling speed of an F1 car.

Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, Fian Inc. and Bestlap will invite some guests to enjoy the exclusive F1 three-seater experience, with two  sessions of 30 minutes each day. This car has previously been seen in Dubai (UAE), Monza (Italy), Jerez, Valencia, Catalunya, Jarama (Spain), Estoril (Portugal), Marrakesh (Urban track – Morocco) and Magny Cours (France). It will come to Losail International Circuit again from 5 to 7 March.
