The Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) is organising an exhibition, ‘Painting the History’ by Chinese artist Yan Pei-Ming from 12 October to 12 January 2013 at the QMA Gallery, Building 10, in Katara.

Yan Pei-Ming is known worldwide for his ‘epic sized’ portraits of Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong and actor Bruce Lee. This is Yan Pei-Ming’s first major exhibition in Doha.

The exhibition will be divided into three sections: the first dedicated to Arab culture, the second on how art history chronicles news, and the last will be a history of assassinated political leaders from the beginning of the 20th century until now.

Featuring portraits of Yasser Arafat, Che Guevera, Mahatma Gandhi and more, this exhibition promises to be an interesting visual journey through history. Don’t miss this opportunity and be one of the first to experience this is Doha!
