arabia_saudita_-_occhi_tentatoriArab women are often stereotyped as ‘passive’ in the Western media, but what about in Arab media? Does the portrayal mirror Western stereotypes or create a more complicated representation? The book is a comprehensive study and analysis of Arab women in Arab news, supported by case studies and encompassing gender equality and human rights. The book was written by Dr Amal Al Malki, the only Qatari faculty member in Education City and an Assistant Teaching Professor of English at CMUQ, Professor David Kaufer, former Head of the Department of English, Dr Suguru Ishizaki, an Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Communication Design and Kira A. Dreher, a Visiting Instructor of English.
