Ashghal: Temporary Closure of Onaiza Street

The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’, announced the closure of part of Onaiza Street in one direction starting Saturday 19 December 2015 until 31 December 2016. The traffic signal where Onaiza Street intersects with Omar al Mokhtar Street will also be closed.

The closure is required to allow the construction of the permanent Lusail road and the installation of utilities as part of Lusail Expressway Project.

Ashgal temporary closureCommuters who want to access Omar Al Mukhtar Street via Onaiza Street can reach their destination by using the local alternative routes (Ibn Manzur Street, Al Meshrif Street, Al Khulaifat Street, Al Bayan Street) as shown in the above map.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits and to follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
