A new place to car race in Qatar? Aspire Zone Foundation has built a radio-controlled car race track.

Developed in conjunction with the Qatar Remote Controlled Car Racing Group (QRCRG), the circuit features an off-road track that is 350 m long and 4 m wide, over an area of 1,650 square metres.  It contains tight corners, sweeping arches and six jump sections.

The type of cars being used on the track are 1/8 scale buggy – each car is fitted with a computerised-timing system. Each lap takes between 45 – 60 seconds and cars can reach a top speed of approximately 60 kph with an average speed of 30 kph.

The track will be available for the club competitions in the future.

An outdoor on-road track is currently in the planning stage.
