As a part of Qatar National Day celebrations, Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Silatech, for the second consecutive year  is participating through four entrepreneurial projects that are part of the ‘Young Entrepreneur – Al Tajer Al Saghir‘ programme at the specially designed  Souq Waqif area in Darb Al Saai.

The Young Entrepreneur – Al Tajer Al Saghir programme has been curated by the centre for entrepreneurs within the age group of 10 to 16 years old.

Bedaya Center - Darb El Saai  The centre has worked relentlessly to provide a platform for young entrepreneurs willing to be part of this initiative, promoting the opportunity on all of its social media channels and website.

All applicants were interviewed and screened and subsequently, four young entrepreneurs whose projects met all the requirements were selected. The candidates were chosen based on the factor that they already have their own business and/or managing businesses owned by their parents.

The four selected projects chosen this year belong to the food and products sectors. Through this participation, the Young Entrepreneurs will have a promising opportunity to promote their products, interact with the public closely, and gain skills that will help them develop and progress in their businesses.

Bedaya Center Marketing Manager Reema Al Khater, said they are delighted to take part  in the National Day celebrations at Darb Al Saai for the second consecutive year.

Our aim is to promote entrepreneurial projects that are either owned or managed by individuals within the age group of 10 to 16 years old and provide them with the right platform to practice their commercial activities, let them work to enhance their strengths and search for weaknesses to improve it.’

She said that by participating in the National Day celebrations, the entrepreneurs will undoubtedly benefit from direct interaction with the public which will give them skills and experience and help them to continue their business.

The main objective of the Young Entrepreneur – Al Tajer Al Saghir programme is to support these children, introduce them to the proper way of dealing with customers, and teach them how to track their inventory and calculate daily incomes. These will enhance their self-reliance and love of entrepreneurship, under supervision of a specialised team from Bedaya Center.
