Under the auspices of HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) is organising the 13th edition of the International Exhibition for Internal Security and Civil Defence – Milipol Qatar 2021 – from 15 to 17 March at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The Milipol Qatar Exhibition Committee organised a press conference this Saturday, 13 March, at the Officer’s Club Hall of the General Directorate of Civil Defence, to announce the launch of the exhibition.

Speaking during the press event, Milipol Qatar President, Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani said that all arrangements have been completed for Milipol Qatar 2021.

Milipol Qatar is the leading international event in the field of internal security and civil defence, organised by MOI in cooperation with Comexposium.

Showcasing the future

Milipol Qatar will provide businessmen and investors with a comprehensive idea about the future of internal security and civil defence sectors after the pandemic. In addition, the expo will also create an opportunity for participants to be introduced to new international partners for importing and developing technologies and systems that will enhance preparedness in these sectors.

Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani pointed out that considering the state of Qatar as a leading destination for major sporting events, Qatar would like to take advantage of the latest technological systems that ensure the strengthening of safety and security of major international events, such as FIFA World Cup 2022.

International participants

The current edition of Milipol Qatar has attracted a wide number of exhibitors despite the current pandemic, including 71 international companies from 17 countries and 72 companies from Qatar. The ratio of new companies from the total number of participants is 53%.

Milipol Qatar 2021 will host five international pavilions representing Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. There will be individual pavilions for international companies.

The event also expects a huge turnout of visitors. Please note that everyone is expected to adhere to all safety procedures and protocols set by the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Exhibitions and seminars

The exhibition will also host three seminars including educational presentations on security information and significant discussions by a number of thought leaders, focused on cybersecurity, cyber threats and managing the security of major events.
