NeXTfairs Managing Director Rawad Sleem said they are very pleased with the success of the exhibition and the response, which he said, has been far better than anticipated. According to him, the level of participation from exhibitors, the level of public interest, the packed attendance at the workshops and seminars and the knowledge and expertise of the speakers were all beyond expectations.

The Qatari government has allocated a big budget in 2020 for the processing of lands for nationals to build their personal residence. Build Your House 2020 was organised in time to provide the right help and advice to the citizens to go ahead with their house building projects.

The huge demand for such an exhibition is encouraging us to return next year with the second edition of Build Your House which will be bigger and better than this year.

Informative Workshops and Seminars

The highlight of the inaugural edition of Build Your House 2020 were the hugely popular workshops and seminars. Divided on the basis of popular themes inspired from the latest house building trends from around the world, the workshops were a great add-on value to the exhibition as industry-expert speakers shared their experience and know-how to give visitors the right advice, inspiration, ideas, and knowledge to complete their next project.

Most of the workshops and seminars were fully booked through pre-registration even before the exhibition commenced. The topics for the workshops and seminars ranged from an in-depth probe into Islamic finance and legal aspects for contracts to architectural and interior design.

Sustainability was also one of the main topics as experts advised attendees on how to build a sustainable and energy efficient home. Tips were offered on kitchen and bathroom design with a detailed session on usage of technology and storage management.

Maintaining a home garden and landscaping ideas were also shared by experts on the subject along with ideas on how to adapt culture and traditions in home design, but retain a modern luxurious house with the latest amenities and design styles.

The workshop and seminars gave visitors all the information they needed to convert their dream house into reality.
