Celebrating Qatar National Day 2014

Qatar National Day QND

Every 18 December, Qatar celebrates their National Day in commemoration of the historic day in 1878 when Sheikh Jassim, the founder of the State of Qatar, succeeded his father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Thani, as the ruler and led the country toward unity. National Day emphasises the Qatari identity and history, embodies the ideals and visionary aspirations that this country was founded on, and pays homage to the great men and women who participated in building the nation.

Qatar celebrates its National Day with spectacular events across the country.
