Doha English Speaking School (DESS) recently held the first of a planned annual ‘Celebration of Success’ event recently in its multi-purpose hall in Al Maari Street, Doha.

The celebration was held to recognise children who have shown an outstanding attitude to learning throughout the academic year. Awards were presented to children in Key Stage 2 (aged 7-11) for subjects across the British Curriculum including Arabic, Art & Design, Computing, English, French, Humanities, Mathematics, Science and Sports.

Distinguished guests attended the event including Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, HE Ajay Sharma, along with parents, staff, sponsors and of course, the children.

Head Teacher Sean Sibley said that it’s always important to celebrate the successes of children who have outstanding attitudes to learning in many Curriculum areas.

The children and the staff at DESS work extremely hard with learning and teaching. I would like to thank the guest presenters, the parents, the staff, the governors and most importantly – the children for such an enjoyable evening.
