Katara is hosting the first Central Asia Cultural Festival which will feature Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Tuva (federal subject of Russia). The festival will run from Friday 23rd to Wednesday 28th. Each country will bring their culture to Doha, giving dance performances including ballet, concerts and fashion shows.
Dr Emad Sultan, Cultural Affairs Director of Katara said, ‘Katara is dedicated to showcasing different traditions and civilisations while also merging cultural gaps and this is exactly what we are hoping to achieve with the Central Asia Cultural Festival. We are confident that this festival will attract music and cultural fans from across the Arab region and promise to continue bringing Qatar and the region cultural experiences like nothing else.’
