The St. Regis Doha, the finest address in Qatar, has announced the appointment of Chef Pablo Rodriguez Cordero as Executive Pastry Chef. Along with this appointment, The St. Regis Doha will see the launch of a new bespoke cakes offering thanks to the chef’s outstanding skills and long-standing career in creating the finest custom-made cakes and pastry.
Chef Pablo will oversee the entire hotel operations in creating the sweetest creations, working with a team of 18 chefs in the pastry kitchens. Their remit includes producing the finest selection of cakes and desserts, developing seasonal menu offerings and delivering an excellent guest and member experience.
Chef Pablo Rodriguez Cordero has previously worked at world-renowned hotels and restaurants around the globe including The Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife in Spain where he held the position as Pastry Chef. Here he managed a team of 8 Pastry Chefs working on outstanding pastry creations perfecting his personal artistic skills. Chef Pablo has also previously worked in the UK at the Sunborn Gibraltar Hotel & Casino, a five-star luxury yacht hotel.
A passionate and determined pastry chef, from the very beginning, Chef Pablo began his career as a pastry cook in 2007 at the Taberna Del Alabardero, a fine dining Spanish restaurant based in Sevilla Spain. He knew from day one that this was his dream career and has never looked back since. One of the highlights of Chef Pablo’s career is his collaboration with chocolate brand Valrhona for its catalogue book that gathered the best recipes from Spanish artisans and pastry chefs.
The St. Regis Doha’s new bespoke service, led by Chef Pablo, caters for special occasions and celebrations. Now with Chef Pablo skills and artistry on board, guests will enjoy an exceptional personalised experience with the most refined cakes that are custom made to their desires and crafted with utmost finesse using only the finest ingredients.

An extension to Sarab Lounge’s outstanding offering, The St. Regis’ bespoke cakes are made to order, beautifully designed and decorated with the flair of a specialised cake art. Guests can choose from several mouth-watering flavours such as rich chocolate cake, vanilla and strawberry cake, carrot cake, pistachio and cherry cake, mocha coffee cake, or raspberry red velvet cake.
The crème de la crème of cakes start at QR250 per kg with a minimum of 3 kg that is fit to serve up to 20 people. They can also be ordered for up to 7 kg to cater for 55 to 70 people. Additional charges apply for carvings and detailed drawings, and cakes should be ordered at least 72 hours prior to collection.
