The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested two people for the attempt of selling smuggled ancient coins at the amount of up to US$7,000 per piece.

Acting on a tip that the CID received about two people, one Arab and another European, are trying to sell antique coins, the CID started the investigation operation, which led to the arrest of two culprits where one had 15 gold coins hidden with him. During the interrogation, he admitted that he had brought coins from abroad as per the agreement with his accomplice to sell the coins for US$7,000 per piece with a percentage of the profit for him. Both of them were arrested and the coins in their possession were seized. The two accused culprits have been referred to the competent investigation authorities for further legal procedures.
