City College signed a memorandum of recognition recently where it officially became an Affiliate College of Ulster University. City College will offer approved franchised programmes from September onwards, with flexible study options leading to awards from Ulster University, one of the UK’s top ten entrepreneurial universities which is also ranked in the top 200 young universities in the world.

Ulster University is a globally engaged university, partnering with institutions across the world that share common values and a focus on civic impact.

The first joint programmes between the two institutions will be International Foundation Studies and a final year of Business Studies leading to a BSc (Honours) awarded by Ulster University. Masters programmes in Management, Marketing, and Business Administration are to be offered in the very near future.

Ulster University Business School is the sixth-largest business school in the UK and has 60,000 alumni working across 120 countries as drivers of economic growth globally. Through a variety of innovative courses and programmes, Ulster University shapes the futures of its students and builds opportunity into the businesses they plan to join.

This new partnership, capitalising on the strengths of each partners’ experience will lead the shaping of the careers of the business leaders of the future in Doha and beyond.’

Our new internationally-recognised UK degrees awarded by Ulster University will allow our students to progress to studying the final year of the BSc (Hons) Business Studies from a UK university that is ranked in the Top 200 Young Universities by Times Higher Education, 2019.

The Diploma in International Foundation Studies is recognised by universities in Doha and abroad and allows students to proceed to year 1 of university. These programmes are approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar.

As part of Qatar’s pivotal role in supporting the direction towards a skilled workforce, and to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030, we intend to launch, in the near future, new programmes that will enable progression pathways to a variety of Ulster University degrees.’
