Compass International School Doha (Compass) celebrated its diverse international community with International Week activities at its Madinat Khalifa and Rayyan campuses, recently. Compass is home to over 77 nationalities.
Every year, Compass students and their parents take part in a wide range of activities to celebrate the school’s international community at each of its four campuses. During International Week, children honoured their home country by dressing up in national dress and parading around the school with their country’s flag.
Students had the chance to share their home country’s culture and traditions with their classmates and to learn more about other countries around the world. Children showcased their learning with special assemblies and cultural performances, with parents invited to join the celebrations.
The International Breakfast was a highlight of the International Week and it was an opportunity for families to share and enjoy various food from around the world.
The school’s Gharaffa Campus celebrated International Week in November last year and everyone in Compass is looking forward to another International Week celebration at the Themaid campus in March.
Paul Holyome, Executive Principal at Compass International School Doha said that as part of Nord Anglia Education’s global network of 66 premium schools, Compass is proud to be part of a truly international school community.
International Week is a time to bring our school community together to celebrate diversity in our school and for our children to learn more about the world around them.
