Coinciding with the new academic year 2019-2020, Compass International School Doha welcomed parents and students on Saturday to attend its very first Open Day event held at the recently opened, state-of-the-art campus in Al Themaid.
Parents and their children had a comprehensive tour of the campus and the facilities and were encouraged to explore the many activities at their leisure. Across the campus, families took part in a broad range of educational, creative and athletic activities and demonstrations aimed at Early Years, Primary, and Secondary aged children.
Compass International School Doha, a Nord Anglia Education school, has multiple internationally respected curricula on offer, including the English National Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). A-levels and BTEC vocational credentials will be added in the coming years.
The school also offers a range of inspiring co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that engage students across a diverse array of subject areas, in particular, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) and the performing arts. The newly opened state-of-the-art Themaid campus includes; a swimming pool, football pitch, multi-purpose sports hall, auditorium, science laboratories, specialist areas for design technology and ICT, and music, dance and drama spaces.
