Shoppers have a chance to win cash prizes for every QAR 200 spent

Only a few days left until the first of three raffle draws takes place as part of the ‘Summer in Qatar’ retail offering, according to the latest announcement from Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Nine lucky shoppers will have the chance to win cash prizes worth QAR400,000: QAR100,000 will be equally divided among five winners who will each receive QAR20,000; two participants will split the second QAR100,000 prize, each getting QAR50,000; while another QAR200,000 prize will be awarded to two winners, each collecting QAR100,000. The draws will take place on 28 June, 7 pm at Lagoona Mall.

To enter the draws, shoppers should submit any receipts worth QAR200 or more to the ‘Summer in Qatar’ counter at any of the participating malls, where they can register electronically. The system will generate vouchers based on the amount of money spent, with shoppers’ details saved. If shoppers spend an additional QAR200 or more during subsequent shopping trips at any participating mall, they can register again in the raffle draw with ease.

Participating malls are also providing discounts of up to 70% on a range of products including clothes, technology gadgets and accessories. Throughout the summer, visitors to malls can also enjoy meet and greet events with popular characters, live cultural performances, movie premieres and promotions at various theme parks and children’s play arcades.

The Summer in Qatar programme, which runs until 16 August, is part of QNTC’s strategy to develop Qatar as a year-round family-friendly destination. With partner organisations in retail, hospitality, entertainment and culture, it offers a range of exciting indoor and outdoor experiences, along with entertainment programmes featuring local, regional and international artists, edutainment, summer and sports camps.
