Katara Cultural Village is organising a Creative Writing Workshop and Competition for students of all English medium schools in the country to mark the Universal Children’s Day.

The workshop and competition, which will be in English, is open to students nine to 12 years old. Each school can nominate two participants. Attractive prizes and trophies will be given to the top three winners. The next seven winners will also receive consolation prizes and certificates of participation will be given to all participants. The workshop, which will be held for four days during weekends starting on 6 December will be conducted by top professionals in the field.

According to Katara Cultural Village GM Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Universal Children’s Day is celebrated every year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide and to improve children’s welfare.

At Katara Cultural Village, we undertake a host of programmes to promote the talent and creativity of children and increase their cultural awareness. The Creative Writing Workshop and Competition will provide a golden opportunity for students to hone their creative skills and contribute to society.’
