The second race of Qatar Superbike had the same winners as race one, with the win of Alex Cudlin and Al Naimi and Al Malki second and third respectively.

In the first two laps of the race, Al Malki took the lead  but in the third lap, he came into the third position, with Al Naimi in second and Cudlin in front position.

Cudlin said after the second win:

I am very happy to get the result. I am surprised because before the race I felt really sick, I don’t know why,  in my stomach ; I didn’t feel really good. I thought that maybe in the race I would take it easy and finish third or second. I had a good fight with Nasser and Mishal and then, about lap six, I came into the lead and saw that nobody was behind me, not as the first race. I didn’t have my laptime in my bike, so I just continue with  my pace and in the last two laps I pushed maximum to create a gap, so that is perfect for the championship , I have 20 points lead, so hopefully next round another double win.’

Mishal Al Naimi had the same problems with his Honda bike and couldn’t push to the end to catch Cudlin and fight of the win ‘I am happy for the result but I hope to be 100% in the next round and get the victory. Thanks to Ooredoo for the support and looking forward to next round ‘ Al Naimi said.

The third place was for Nasser Al Malki and Saeed Al Sulaiti came in fourth position.

In the veterans category, the podium was also the same as first race, with Ian Maud first in the category and Christopher Bell and Martin Bexon second and third.
