Cultural Shows on the Sidelines of IAAF Tournaments this Friday!
A range of cultural and musical performances, and safety and security awareness programmes are organised by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) for communities of the Industrial Area and Al Khor this Friday, 27 September, from 5 pm to 10 pm, to celebrate the World Athletics Championships Doha 2019.
Indian and Bangladeshi artists will perform cultural and traditional shows at specially arranged ‘mega’ stage of the Cricket Stadium parking area at the Asian Town in Industrial Area, featuring musical performances of orchestra groups – Hindi, Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Malayalam, Urdu, Tamil and Sinhalese.
Singers and artists residing in Qatar from various nationalities will also join the festivities and showcase their talents at both mega events, which will be for the benefit of thousands of workers and community members from different parts of Qatar.
The Barwa Workers Recreation Complex in Al Khor will host cultural shows and musical performances of Asian artists and will also feature performances of different orchestra teams.
Along with the cultural showcases, both venues will host safety and security awareness programmes led by different departments of MOI. These programmes are aimed to reach out to more members of the expatriate community and raise awareness on various matters related to their daily life.
The Public Relations Department of MOI are urging all members of different communities in Qatar to attend the mega events and enjoy the cultural programmes. Entry to these events are free and prizes will be given away to the audience through a raffle draw.
