Arabian fashion designers showcased the latest runway trends at the second day of the ninth Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. The timeless abayas could be seen in creative styles ranging from bold designs to skilfully embroidered pieces, as models gracefully displayed the creative products of local and gulf-based designers.

Conveying the importance of the high-fashion event, Elisabete Reis, Brand Ambassador of Debaj said:

We have conducted successful fashion shows and photo shoots in places like Paris, Milan and Japan. As a Qatari brand, we believe it is important to participate in the Heya exhibition, to showcase the best there is in Qatar. There are plenty of good designers here, and we should all invest in Qatari fashion and show the world the beautiful designs we have here.’

Visitors to the Heya exhibition can take part in multiple side events taking place every day. These include fashion, beauty and health events such as specialized workshops on health, tutorials on hair and make-up, as well as a ‘best piece competition’.

Some of the region’s leading names in Arabian fashion are exhibiting at this edition including: Debaj, Jo La Mode, Al Mutahajiba, Al Dukan, M Jay Design and Harlenz from Qatar; Hessa Alflasi, Anatomi, Manal Al Ahmadi, Anaya Collections, Sogha and Murikan from UAE; Sahar Al Homoud from Kuwait; Haifa Fahad from Saudi Arabia, and Dar Naseem Alandolos from Bahrain.

Heya exhibition is a women-only event running until 6 June, opening from 10 am–10 pm. Visitors are advised to register in advance at to avoid queues.
