Msheireb Downtown Doha boasts a range of hotels and restaurants, each vying for attention in Qatar’s vibrant culinary scene. But if you’re looking for a new option, let us introduce you to a hidden gem: Cila, snugly tucked within Alwadi Hotel Doha – MGallery.

Described as a charming restaurant blending traditional tastes with contemporary cuisine, Cila’s interior design pays homage to Qatari culture and local traditions, with dhow boats, pearl diving scenes, and travel bags adorning the walls. The menu showcases Levant cuisine and regional delicacies, enticing diners with specialty dishes available à la carte during lunch or dinner.

Our previous visit here left us with satisfied stomachs, so this time, we opted for a leisurely exploration of some of Cila’s signature dishes during a slow lunch.

The signature mezze platter is a must-try, featuring creamy hummus, tangy muhammara, mutable, and babaganoush, served with their freshly made bread.

From the warm mezze menu, we also had the spicy potato harra and the inventive shrimp kounafa, offering a delightful twist on the classic dessert.

For our main course, we enjoyed the perfectly grilled seabass served with steamed veggies and a zesty lemon butter sauce. Generously portioned, it left us feeling satisfied without any hint of bloating.

We concluded our meal on a high note with the indulgent Pistachio Cream Brulee and velvety Chocolate Fondant, perfect for some coffee or tea on the side.

The next time you’re craving a fresh dining experience or aiming to impress with classic dishes, whether you’re accompanied by friends, family, or flying solo, Cila eagerly awaits your arrival. If you want to explore their menu, click this link.
