The Doha English Speaking School recently dedicated a week focused on an international theme where the school community celebrated the many cultures and nationalities it represents among its pupils, staff and parent body.
The week involved students aged between 3 and 11, taking part in activities to learn about countries from all over the world. Children had a passport which they took to each activity as they ‘travelled’ to Italy, England, France, Wales, Scotland, Qatar, UAE, America, New Zealand and a lot more.
The children were also treated to a visit from a camel and a falcon and they get to sit in a Bedouin tent to learn about the importance of the falcon in Qatari culture and traditions. Parents contributed food from all corners of the globe for children and staff to enjoy, and children dressed up in costumes, to represent the country they had chosen for the day.
