Qatar Duty Free (QDF), the official Duty Free partner of the annual Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, congratulates Eddie Pepperell on his victory in the tournament, which was held at the Doha Golf Club recently.

Talented golfers from around the world including top players Oliver Fisher of England, Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland and Paul Lawrie of Scotland, came to Doha for the tournament.

English golfer Eddie Pepperell walked away from the tournament with the top trophy and the coveted prize fund, beating compatriot Oliver Fisher to win the Qatar Masters and claim his first European Tour title in his 129th event.

Pepperell, when he spoke to the European Tour website, said it was such a day.

Oli (referring to Oliver Fisher) made it really tough and I made it tough for myself at the end there with the second shot at 18. I felt good all day, I felt comfortable. I didn’t feel that comfortable with my swing but I was in a great place mentally and I kept telling myself that I’m going to win this.’

Head of Qatar Duty Free Thabet Musleh, said they were thrilled to have once again sponsored one of the world’s most prestigious golf tournaments and they were happy with the winner – Eddie Pepperell.

It was an absolute privilege for Qatar Duty Free’s Pro-Am Team to be able to play with and learn from Eddie Pepperell. We also look forward to announcing the winner of our Instagram photo competition from Qatar Duty Free photobooth in the public village on 14 March.’

QDF sponsors a number of major sports events in Doha, including the Exxonmobil Open Men’s Tennis Tournament and Qatar Total Open Women’s Tennis Tournament.
