Eid Al Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is one of the most important holidays on the Islamic calendar. It falls on the 10th day of Dhu al Hijjah, the 12th and final month in the Islamic calendar. As the exact day is based on lunar sightings, the date varies between countries.

Eid Al Adha is an official non-working holiday in Qatar. Most offices are closed from 20 until 24 July, with work resuming on Sunday, 25 July.
