Eid Al Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is one of the most important holidays on the Islamic calendar. It falls on the 10th day of Dhu al Hijjah, the 12th and final month in the Islamic calendar. As the exact day is based on lunar sightings, the date varies between countries.
Eid Al Adha is an official non-working holiday in Qatar. Most offices are closed from 20 until 24 July, with work resuming on Sunday, 25 July.
Banks
Qatar Central Bank announced that the Eid Al Adha holiday for all financial institutions in the country (banks, currency exchanges, insurance companies, finance, investment, and financial consultants) starts from Sunday, 18 July and ends on Thursday, 22 July. All financial institutions will return to work on Sunday, 25 July.

According to an announcement from Amiri Diwan, the Eid Al Adha holiday for government ministries, agencies and institutions start on Sunday, 18 July. Work will resume on Monday, 26 July.

Qatar Rail already announced the temporary closure of the Doha Metro services during the Eid holidays – from 21 to 24 July. The closure is due to an essential system upgrade across the network.
