The Community Policing Section of North Security Department in association with Sameeksha, the art and cultural wing  of Qatar Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre ( KMCC) will be organizing a cultural fiesta for the expatriate workers called ‘Eid Ka Chand’ at Al Khor sports club on the evening of first day of Eid.

This was announced by the community policing officer at North Security Department,  Lt Shaheen Rashid Al Atheeq Al Dosari in a press conference held in Doha.

Lt Shaheen Al Dosari said:

The expatriate workers are our brothers and our partners in the development of this country and we value their contribution to the progress of this state . We respect all expatriate workers and appreciate and thank them for their participation in the nation building process. As we are happy on this occasion of Eid Al Adha, we are  also keen to make them feeling happy  and enjoying the this  happy  occasion like us.’

He also added that the Ministry of Interior represented by Community Policing Sections of Different Security Departments and Public Relations Department always take part in various programs and occasions celebrated by different expatriate communities in Qatar and this time we organize a program for the workers, where they will impart security and safety related messages and information and the people can interact with the police to clarify their doubts or post some comments they have. Lt Shaheen concluded his words inviting all expatriates to take part in this event and urging the media to give fair coverage for the program.

The program is an entertainment Eid evening of songs by famous local expatriate singers from Qatar in Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali and Tamil & performances such as  Nepalese dance, Oppana,  Kolkali and Magic Show at Al Khor Sports Club on first day of Eid, Tuesday, 15/10/2013 from 5.30 pm – 9.30 pm and the entry is free for all. The organizing committee has reserved a special area for families and there prizes for audience through raffle draw.

The general secretary of Qatar KMCC Abdul Nasser Natchi who attended the press conference on behalf of Qatar KMCC State Committee expressed thanks and appreciation  for the Ministry of Interior for selecting KMMC as a partner  in organizing such a big event targeting the expatriate work force and the president of Sameeksha, Iqbal chettuva  explained the activities and programs of the event in detail.
