The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Qatar recently signed an agreement with Elite Paper Recycling to promote environmental sustainability and recycling across all their programmes and activities under the Green Embassies Program in Qatar.

There is no Moldovan ambassador currently assigned to the State of Qatar, and diplomatic responsibilities are temporarily carried out by Mihai CLAPANIUC – Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the State of Qatar.

Mihai CLAPANIUC and Elite Paper Recycling Chairman Abdulla Ibrahim Al Suwaidi signed the MOU this week, at the Moldovan Embassy.

The initiative aims to promote sustainability and consequently protect the environment, reducing paper waste through recycling and running campaigns to educate people about reducing wastage.

Al Suwaidi said they are happy with their partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova. As part of the agreement, EPR will deploy bins in the embassy and regularly collect all waste paper and cardboards for recycling.
