October 4 - October 7
Qatar National Library has been selected to host the 17th International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Interlending and Document Supply (ILDS) Conference. The successful bid is the result of close cooperation with Qatar National Tourism Council, which provided support and commitment to promote the event.
The ILDS conference will bring international delegates from around the world to the Library to discuss innovative practices, strategies and experiences in the field of interlending and document supply. The ILDS service is an integral component of the global information network, which consists of national, academic, public, private, and scientific libraries, provides users with access to print and digital collections in diverse languages and formats from around the world.
Topics to be discussed include resource sharing, copyrights, open science, pandemic effects on ILL services, the importance of digitisation on collection sharing, and ways to enhance cooperation among lending institutions.
The Library’s Interlending and Document Supply Service is free for all members.
