This is the first solo exhibition of Qatari artist Asma Al Mannai, featuring a collection of passing moments and experiences depicted using different methods and mediums.
Through a series of paintings and drawings ranging from reality and modernity to the simple and the complex, the collection reflects on instances created through the artist’s observations during her time spent at home and abroad while in residence at Cité internationale des Arts in Paris in 2019 as part of the Fire Station’s international exchange programme.
The exhibition is open from 9 am to 7 pm, Saturdays through Thursdays; and from 1:30 pm to 7 pm on Fridays.
Qatar Museums is currently implementing protocols in accordance with recommendations from the Ministry of Public Health. In keeping with these guidelines, a limited number of visitors and staff will only be allowed in the Fire Station at any given time.
Upon arrival, visitors will be required to present a green health status on the Ehteraz virus-tracing app. Masks are required for all visitors (12 years and older). Each person’s temperature will also be checked at the entrance. Visitors without masks or with temperature higher than normal will not be allowed.
