The Embassy of France in Qatar and the Institut Français du Qatar invite you to celebrate the Francophone Days in Qatar this month with the support of Fifty One East and Qatar Airways, presenting various activities such as a concert of Jazz music, language and art competitions.

The French Institute to Qatar will host several Francophonie events. HE Eric Chevallier, Ambassador of France to Qatar, said:

Like every year, I invite you to celebrate with us the Francophone world and its cultural diversity. Among a variety of events, on 20 March you can join us at the jazz concert of Jasser Haj Youssef for a journey into poetry and music.’

Thursday, 15 March at 7 pm The public will get the opportunity to meet French travel writer Guillaume Thouroude (a literature café focusing on travel tales).

Tuesday, 20 March at 7:30 pm Jasser Haj Youssef and his quartet will perform a jazz concert at the Qatar National Theatre. This will be preceded by a journey into French poetry, an event supported by Qatar Airways. Come to join and get carried away by a subtle encounter between jazz, classical music and world music.

Friday, 23 March at 8 am—5 pm Sports lovers will have the opportunity to participate in the first touch rugby tournament of the francophone community at the Doha Rugby Football Centre.

Saturday, 24 March at 2 pm—6 pm ‘Olympiades of the Francophone’ at the French Qatari Voltaire School where students will be competing in sports and art.
