International Day to Protect Education from Attack
9 September @ 10:00 am
Since its establishment in 2020, the International Day to Protect Education from Attack has become even more vital as students, teachers and schools have seen an increased number of attacks globally, despite a reduction in in-person learning due to the last two years of the pandemic. Attacks on education prohibit learning across a significant portion of the globe and perpetrators of such violence are rarely held accountable.
This year’s observance will focus on tangible solutions for all stakeholders to help stop attacks on education including the unveiling of the TRACE data portal which will allow for greater sharing and vetting of information about attacks from the field and a discussion among stakeholders.
The event will be held at UNESCO Paris headquarters and live streamed for online participants.
Please note that the event link will be made available to participants on 8 September.
