Lusail Museum: Tales of a Connected World
24 October 2022 - 24 October 2023

The special exhibition introduces the new museum designed by Herzog & de Meuron currently under development in Lusail. It will draw on its world-class collection of Orientalist art, archaeological artefacts and media from prehistoric times to the 21st century to create a new, enlightened and constructive way of looking at the world to understand who we are, where we came from and where we are going.
The exhibition, anchored in Lusail, the home of Qatar founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, will explore moments of encounter and the vast networks across the Indian Ocean which make connections possible.
The exhibition is curated by Lusail Museum Director Dr Xavier Dectot with Kholood Al Fahad; researcher Monira Al Khayarin; curator of drawings Dr Sophie Bostock; and curator of photographs Dr Giles Hudson; designed in collaboration with museum specialists Studio Adrien Gardère and Barker Langham.
