Qatar Sustainability Week, an initiative by Qatar Green Building Council aims to further engage the community in a wide range of sustainability-oriented activities. This initiative plays a crucial role in raising awareness among the wider community while showcasing the progress Qatar has made in the areas of sustainability and green buildings. As a member of The WorldGBC, QGBC promotes human comfort and well-being as an integral component of a green, sustainable built environment. Consequently, the improved health, well-being and productivity of its occupants can be considered co-benefits of a sustainable building. RETHINK: How We Make and Use in a Sustainable Culture
VCUarts Qatar Atrium / 29 October

Join the Fashion Design panel discussion this Tuesday, with Associate Professor Kimberly Guthrie, alumna Naila Al Thani, and Ateliers Artera Founder/CEO Jennifer Marie Tungol. The event is open to students and staff, and members of the QF community. Visit qatar.vcu.edu for more information.

Al Wakra Beach / 2 November, 7 am  

Ginger Camel is organising a Beach Clean Up activity in Al Wakra, in collaboration with Back2Business, 7 am to 8 am. It will be followed by a short socialisation for participants.

Please take note of the following:
Garbage bags and gloves will be PROVIDED ▪ Sunscreens and visors shall be provided by the participants ▪ Participants are encouraged bring their own reusable water bottles ▪ Minors seven to 18 years should be accompanied by parents or guardians ▪ Each child equals to (1) Slot.

Attire: Everyone are encouraged to wear proper clothing – shirts with sleeves and shorts or skirts should be below the knee. Closed shoes are highly advised for safety. Participants are also urged to wear Green or White clothes, in support of #QSW2019
