Expo 2023 Doha signed a partnership agreement with Hassad Food on the sidelines of the 10th edition of AgriteQ, Qatar’s major agricultural exhibition. 

Hassad Food will work with the Expo 2023 Doha to cement its position as a leading food security- and agriculture-focused platform. Set to run from October 2023 until March 2024, Expo 2023 Doha is expected to attract over three million visitors and will be the first of its kind to be held in Qatar, the Middle East and North Africa. The event will be held in Al Bidda Park.

Hassad Food will join the Expo 2023 Doha as an official partner, showcasing the country’s success in strengthening its food security over the recent years and spreading its know-how globally.

According to Hassad Food Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Badr Al-Sadah, they are pleased to sign the agreement with the Ministry of Municipality to join Expo 2023 Doha as an official partner. He said the event will be a global platform that will introduce visitors from all over the world to the outstanding achievements made by different companies in Qatar.

We should also have the opportunity to exchange experiences and improve communication with many of the international institutions and countries participating in the event.

Al-Sadah said that the pavilion of Hassad Food will highlight their achievements in the field of food and agricultural investment. Hassad Food will also share its future plans and explain to visitors the company’s role in supporting Qatar’s food security.

Expo 2023 Doha Secretary General, Mohammed Ali Alkhoori, said that agriculture and food security are at the core of Expo 2023 Doha, which is set to become the main highlight for Qatar in 2023 and 2024. He said that with the support of Hassad Food, they will showcase Qatar’s experience in ensuring food security on the national level and foster global discussion on the topic during the Expo.

Expo 2023 Doha will be the first A1 International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in Qatar and the MENA region. Organised and led by the Ministry of Municipality, Expo 2023 Doha is conceived in line with the guiding principles of Qatar National Vision 2030 that puts environmental management and sustainable development at the heart of its mission.

Running for 179 days from 2 October 2023 until 28 March 2024 and aiming to reach over three million visitors, Expo Doha 2023 will offer guests an opportunity to visit ornamental gardens, attend public debates, conferences and live shows, and enjoy art and culinary performances within a dedicated area in Al Bidda Park facing the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf.

The theme of Expo 2023 Doha is Green Desert, Better Environment as it aims to encourage sustainable innovation and reduce desertification. It will inspire visitors to take part in the change through four sub-themes:

  • Modern Agriculture
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Environmental Awareness
  • Sustainability
