Two young designers, Niyazi Erdogan and Selina Farooqui wowed journalists and fashionistas on the 15th & 16th November at the W Hotel with their fabulous new collections.

Marhaba was invited along to the W Hotel last week to see two new collections. The catwalk was along the pool at Wahm bar in the W Hotel at night, a very cool and unusual place to hold a fashion show and it gave the evening a very casual, nightclub ambience.

Selina Farooqui, win of the VCU and W Doha Fashion Award, showcased an exclusive ready-to-wear line of garments for W Doha Hotel, called “W by Night”, a sophisticated collection with an element of Arabian luxury. Her dresses were all fabulously stylish and eye catching; definitely not for wallflowers! It’s important to nurture homegrown talent and it’s great to see alumni of Virginia Commonwealth University becoming so successful, especially one so young!

Young Turkish designer Niyazi Erdogan showed his latest collection SS 2012, which drew its inspiration from Art Deco and blended practicality with style. His collection featured lots of loose, soft denims and semi-casual shirts with interesting details.

Both their collection are now on sale!
