The fifth edition of S’hail – Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition 2021 – got off to a good start at the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara this week, with participants from 160 local and international companies from at least 18 countries.

S'hail 2021 3The opening day of the exhibition also witnessed visits from a number of diplomats and VIP, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Qatar, HE Jose Benzacín; Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Qatar, HE Abd Al-Rahim Al-Siddig Mohamed; Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Qatar, HE Jasminko Pozderac; and Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Syrian Republic, Dr Bilal Turkiye. Their ambassadors were given a tour of the prominent sections of the exhibition and introduced to some of the distinguished participants.

Katara Director-General and S’hail Organizing Committee Chair, HE Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti said that the growing importance of S’hail year after year confirms its leadership as the most important international exhibition of hunting and falconry in the MENA region.

HE Dr Al-Sulaiti said that S’hail continues to develop, both in terms of additional spaces allocated to accommodate all the pavilions of participating companies and in terms of marketing methods. He added that the fifth edition is different from the previous editions given the remarkable Gulf presence and the presence for the first time of many international companies offering new and diverse products in the weapons, hunting and travel sector.

Some of the new eye-catching features at S’hail this year include the latest weapons and gadgetry, life-size wild animal display and world-class falcon sculpting and wood carving craft.

The five-day exhibition will run until Saturday, 11 September and will receive visitors from 10 am to 10 pm on all days except on Friday, when the exhibition opens from 2 pm until 11 pm.

S’hail is implementing the highest standards of safety, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Health, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
